WOW...it has been some time since I posted my world!! (computer issues) Anywho...babies are doing fabulous...Abigail has turned 1 year old...Christmas has come and gone...these are their Christmas jammies from Memaw...grey hairs becoming more prevalent!!

Fellowship Time- Country Style

Just got these photos back from my sister (Saint Melissa) and reminiscing on the fun we had...had lunch at Jay's Catfish...desert at Uncle Don and Gran Barb's...then on to the creek...

The David and Jen Batson family was there The Merriman'sThe George's Dessa's family, and all of ours. Fun on the farm first with the chickens and Dixie our pony.

We enjoyed watermelon...

And almost every child had to see how high the swing would go...

And then on to the creek...I think Dawson and Jackson had the most fun swimming out of the pipes!!

Abigail and Bri had fun moments together...this was just not one of them...but too cute not to post!And so the morale of the story is...want to have good country fun...come on down to Dickson County TN...guaranteed to make you smile!

Summers almost over for 09

WOW, where does the time go. Its true...the older we get...the faster it goes. Daddy used to say that we (Melissa and me) grew up faster than he did and I would just look at him with such misunderstanding of his words...which was not normal because he was such a brilliant man!! Anyhow, now that I am the age he had been...I totally understand and still agree to his brilliance.

Abigail is already 9 months old and crawling EVERYWHERE!! She is such a little grabber too...if her eyes see it...her hands touch it...beverages BEWARE!! She is so beautiful and getting a precious personality like her big brother...

Alexander is profecting his vocabulary more each day and I tell you the truth...he is the LOVE of my life. Papa and I took him canoeing this past Labor Day weekend and had a blast. Our four hour tour (yep, your singing Gilligan arent you) took about 6 and we capsized the boat. But Jesus kept us safe and we are here to tell the tale and show the pics!

Summer brought us lots of fun...the fair...cookouts...trip to Illinois...and so much more that I will never forget and have the best memories!!

Oh my goodness...we have two new family members...

Harley and Lugnut...how country is that!! They are so stinking cute and even cute when they cried!! Alexander had a blast chasing them and washing their food. He has to learn how to take care of them.

Sweetpea liked them too...she kept a vigil beside them until I made her come in the house. The horses didnt know exactly what to think about them but apparently they got along fabulously. My horse...Pepe...kept licking them and they stayed by the fence all night long.

Abigail will have her share of duties too when she gets a little bigger but for now...she will just work on being cute!!

Fellowship- Country Style

We live in the best part of TN!!! I wouldnt have said that 15 years ago..thought it was the boondocks...but now...I cant imagine living anywhere else!

We had our church fellowship time this weekend at my sister's home...yummy yummy, there was a party in my tummy!!

Uncle Don and Gran Barb were there...

So was Brother Huddleston...

Princess Abigail tried strawberries and fresh corn on the cob...right from the garden Prince Alexander played with everything from stick to Bambi

I have the best grandbabies on the planet...yep I do!! We spend a lot of fun times together...they make me laugh and smile all the time. They are full of joy and always having a good time with Memaw...here are a few photos of the past few days... This one was on the way home from Sunday school...my little prince!

Birthday - Fourth of July - Anniversary 2009

WOW, what a great weekend it was. First of all, I had off Friday the 3rd from work because the 4th fell on the weekend...AND Hubby came home too!! We went out to dinner at Jay Birds with Uncle Don Gran Barb Melissa (my hero) & StanleyAlexander and Abigail...had a fabulous time...ate too much (always do).

Then we just hung out around the house on Saturday and decided to go to Tip A Canoe down the Narrows of the Harpeth

We had a blast and will make that a tradition I hope! The water was down and several times we had to pick up the canoe. Then about 1/4 mile to the end...the rain came down...AND hubby decided (he was in the front at this point) to dip into the river real deep and throw it on me...about 15 times...I was more than soaked. Then hubby fell into a mud hole...FUNNY!!! We laughed so hard and had a great time.

The babies came over and we played and they gave me the greatest gifts...Kelly and Dougie got me about 24 gourmet cupcakes...yummy yummy...my babies got me a heart locket necklace of which now contains their perfect pictures, Justin and Wendy got me an Elvis CD collection and a movie and hubby got me a laptop...oh yeah...God is good to me!

Summerfest and Father's Day

Well, another weekend has come and gone and precious memories made. First start to the weekend...Alexander, Abigail and I went to Summerfest. Kelly was going to join us but couldnt leave work in time. We were melting!! We got there about 6PM and left around 10PM. Papa met us about 8:30PM. When we first got there Alexander didnt know what rides to begin with...so we did them all!

This was his first choice...took him about 3 minutes to decide what color he wanted!!Then on to the carosel...We all rode with him...FUN FUN!!This was awesome...the look on his little face when the Dragon Roller Coaster would make the turns...he was so excited...he rode this at least 10 times that night!

Old Timey Cars...A train... A tiger...Inside a Strawberry with a friend named Abigail...On a pony...named Cowboy! And on the Ferris Wheel with his Papa!! Abigail was HOT too...but quite the little trooper...never cried a tear...my precious princess... She rode the carosel too...loves any swing...anywhere!Until she had to take a quick cat nap...about 15 minutes tops!And she danced with her papa...

Then on to Fathers Day...went to see Jimmy's dad And mom...and we had a burger/dog dog cookout...always yummy...

Father's Day will never be the same without daddyRIP...we miss you!!

Granite City Illinois

Spent the weekend in Granite City Illinois with the hubby. Had a very relaxing time and even attended my first and hopefully last crawfish boil. Those things STANK and tasted about the same way...I just dont get it...enjoy!

Memorial Day Weekend...we had a BBQ at the house...hubby was home for 5 days!!

Memaws pretty Abbey after a bath...my little quacker...This was too funny not to post...Alexander wanted to play the piano...so I went about doing something else and heard him playing. Then all of the sudden I heard hep Memaw hep (he cant say his L's yet) and this is what I saw...I could only laugh...and get the camera of course!!This was taken this morning before leaving for the sitters and work...I didnt see him anywhere and then I saw him move...he was loving up on his dog...
And last but not least for the day...this is how I woke up! I have no recollection of this 'accident' except that Alexander bumped my eyebrow with his sippy cup wanting a refill and Abigail trying to pull my nose off while trying to go to sleep...the battles of being a Memaw...I WIN EVERYTIME!!! Until then...love!

Well, its been another week...another weekend...babies are growing...and so is the grass ( killed another copperhead last night)!! Work is work, everyone is healthy and God is SO GOOD TO ME!! Here are a few pictures taken at various times...

This is a picture of myself and my Aunt Linda...my momma's sister! I saw her at the deli @ Wal-Mart the other day!

Abigail is so funny...right before this picture you would have thought I dropped her on her head! When you sit her down...immediately she begins to throw a fit...real tears even...she is quite the drama queen...so she finally decided about a minute later...oh cool...my feet...she played with them about 20 minutes In the country...we have the liberty of breaking the law! hehehehe...seriously...since Alexander was a baby he has helped us drive down the road and down the driveway. Since we live on a very low traffic road...it works out very good. This photo was taken while driving back from taking the trash and Alexander and Buddy were catching a cool breeze coming in from the window...This picture is obviously of Alexander playing in the dirt. Now I know that kids automatically learn how to do this on their own. However, this planter was full of old buttercups and I cleaned it out and put my mother's day flower in it. The dirt was so fresh and smelled so good! I got Alexander's cars out and showed him what fun he could have...now it is so cute when he wants to play in the "durt"...then if I am not watching...he will come and get me and show me his accomplishments...I know Alexander is too young to remember the memories we are sharing right now and that is partly why I am taking so many photos of everyday events...I have to say that eating Angel Food cake on the front porch is pricelss to me!! I hope he enjoys them someday too...

Country Copperhead

Got home yesterday to mow the grass and had been around this mower for 15 minutes or so...took off and stopped to get a dog chain out of the way (would not have went well with the blades) and turned back to resume and this DEVIL poked his head out and said "come on back and I will bite your butt!"

My son came to the rescue and put this beast out of our misery (then chased me with it). This was the second copperhead to be seen in about 9 years of my living here, the other one was over 6 ft long the day of my back surgery in 2002!

My hubby had told me not to get on 'his mower' (mine is broke) but I didnt listen...he said, "see when you disobey your husband you almost get snake bit"...hahaha!

Hello there!!! I have not had opportunity to post pictures or write about life in a while so enjoy a few now...

My little angels...precious indeed.Alexander is getting tired of Memaw wanting pictures...he is a mess!!She gets more beautiful by the minute!!This was taken the day before Easter (I think) at Uncle Don's house. This chick was just hatched days before and Alexander did not know what to do with it...he kept throwing it down...thus the reason Uncle Don is holding his hand out to catch...again...cute!

WOW, its true...the older you get the faster time goes by! Nine years ago today 2/26/2000 I had a wonderful date with James Earl King. We went to Las Palmas Mexican restaurant for dinner and then on to a movie The Whole Nine Yards of which he fell asleep in because he was working 7 days a week about 12 hours a day. BUT, he took the time to stop and meet me!

Needless to say, it has been a roller coaster but when the day is done, I am proud that we stuck it out! It has been a hard journey but I know without a doubt that he loves me and that I love him.

He loves Alexander with all his heart and soul and Abigail too... but of course not as much as me...HAHAHA!

He is coming home this weekend from IL and we are gonna spend some quality time together and maybe recreate our date night. He is truly a wonderful man!

OMG...what a wonderful weekend we had!! Spent the morning with the babies and went to a pancake breakfast for their cousin to support his cub scout troop...forgot to take photo...sorry! Then on for shopping at the store and Goodwill where they got lots more toys!! I picked up a couple fabulous skirts myself!!

Alexanders new ritual at Memaws is his bath and nonuts before bed!! Priceless!Abigail just loves her bathtime...look at her curly hair right after towel drying!!

Took these photos on Saturday night of their little feet...cant even describe the melting of my heart!!

Anyway, then we played and had a wonderful afternoon and night then off to church on Sunday!! What a fabulous service where God showed up in His awesomeness!!! I am SO Glad to have Him in my life!!

Then we went to celebrate Autumns birthday at Monkey Joes. Aunt Kelly had a great time too! This place is a childs dream come true!! I had a blast!!! Alexander wore his little self OUT! Enjoy the photos and until then...Memaw's World gets better and better!!

This was a fabulous weekend. Had the babies all weekend. We went out to dinner Friday night with Unlce Don, Aunt Barb and my sister Melissa. Had a great time of fellowship and great food...Go JayBirds!! Then we played and playedAnd Played some more on Saturday and then off to church on Sunday! Went to see Ms. Maxine and Pop on Sunday! I just love my babies!!

This February 16 always brings my memory to my momma who died suddenly in 1983! Life as we knew it would change forever and wondering what would have been different if she were still here. She is still missed and loved and hope to reunite on the other side some day!!

Hot Wheels and sick baby

Good morning,

We had a good/not so good weekend! Jimmy was home (which as good). He got home about 9PM and we settled in for what we thought the night. WRONG! Got a call from a family friend that Sara (Jimmy's youngest) had just had a car wreck in front of their house. Well, we got in the car and went 70MPH about 3 miles down the road to this...

But, thank JESUS...she walked away with a few scratches and a few SORE muscles. She had a blowout we think.

Then on to Saturday! (Here comes the good part!) Jimmy brought Alexander a Hot Wheels track and they had SO much fun!!! I am not sure who had more...Jimmy or Alexander. Check out the videos on MySPACE to see them in action...too cool!

Now on for a bit more bad...Alexander had a terrible fever Saturday night on into Sunday morning. His momma and daddy came and took him to the doctor and discovered he has an ear infection. His fever has been between 103^ and as high as 105.8^...SCARY STUFF! Here he is hanging out with his Papa!

Abigail spent some quality time with Papa while Alexander was gone to the doctor...and much time with her Memaw!!

Six Weeks Old Today

Can you believe it! Abigail is already 6 weeks old!!! My oh my! Here are a few photos from last night. I didnt realize at the time that Alexander still had ketchup on his little mouth! But look at that smile...PRECIOUS!

Abigail is already so spoiled. Wants to be held all the time. That is good and bad because you get to soak up all that loving but you dont get anything done in the day!! LOL I guess I can do those other things when she is Alexander's age and not into loving so much anymore. He just wants to play play play!! ( and drink Hoo Hoo!)

Pink eye

Well, this weekend was filled with the pink eye! Both of my little angels had the pink eye. Alexander worse than Abigail as hers had only begun in one eye. We had THE WORST DOCTOR in Dickson however but at least he prescribed medication that worked FAST!

Check out Abigail...she looked like she was praising Jesus in her sleep! Justin said she looked like...FREEZE!!

They spend the night with me again tonight. Maybe I will have an opportunity for more photos...can never have too many.

Well, let me see. Since last I wrote, Christmas has come and gone, cold weather comes and goes. But one thing remains and that is my blessings! I have to count them against the bad times because God is so good to me!!

Abigail is growing up but still so very tiny. As I write, she is at home with bronchitis and rather pitiful. I will go see her tonight...I am sure a visit from Memaw will do her good!! Here she is in her Santa Baby suit

My Alexander is just a mess! He is so funny and can make you smile just seeing him. He had a GREAT Christmas and got lots of toys. He got lots of cars but he calls them tars...it's very hard to not say it too because it is so cute to hear him. Here are a few pictures of him over the last few weeks.

I am going to see him tonite also (DUH!) and hopefully take him home with me!! I miss him so!!

On December 19, 2008 I came home from work and expected to start a weeks vacation in peace and harmony...WRONG!! My house was vandalized and everything worth value on the street...taken! My 50" TV, Christmas presents (they are gonna burn for that) and all my jewelry which includes my mommas mother's ring that obviously cannot be replaced! To top that off, one of my dogs was missing!!! I cried and cried BUT she came home about 10:30 that night! Thank God! (remember the blessing part in the beginning?).

To top that off, Grandmamma Corbett gave up her fight and went home! She will be missed a lot by a lot of people! Here is a photo that I had posted before but seems it should go here too!

I haven't blogged in a bit so I thought I would do so today. These pictures were taken last weekend after church. Alexander had fallen asleep and did not want to ride his pony unless Memaw did! So, I left my dignity on the other side of the fence and crawled up there with my dress on! He had so much fun on Uncle Donnie's farm!!

Alexander helped his Uncle Donnie work walnuts and checked out the ducks (check out the video on our MySpace!)

Its getting cold outside

Well, this weekend was busy busy. Lets start with Alexander spending the night Thursday night and waking up sick Friday morning...so I stayed home from work to tend to him...but these photos were taking B4 he caught that bug...We have so much fun just taking baths!

He finally settled in for a night of Pooh!

So the next day, we just hang out and give a little love before time to take him home to mama and daddy...

We stopped by McDonalds for a snack and he was showing me his horses...He was showing his daddy first thing Saturday morning and blacked his eye with one of the legs!! Daddy loves him anyways!Then on to help paint and put up deer border in Alexander's room (no photos yet...but will add later)...then on to help cut wood with family and friends...here is my very first fire in my little living quarters!Then church on Sunday of which Alexander had to miss because he had family visiting...but Melissa and I went on with out him as hard as it was and went to visit our grandmother who is 88 years old. Bless her heart...she is still so beautiful to us!

And dont forget my Million Dollar baby is THE BEST!

Just a regular sleep over

We have SO much fun when we have sleep overs. These photos were taken last night. It's getting cold outside and dark much earlier which is quite inconvenient for us since we love to play outside. However, Alexander always makes the best of things. We had already showered and brushed our teeth and he was playing with his toys while wearing his cowboy hat that Papa gave him. He didnt know it was on sideways!

Pumpkin Patch Weekend

Wow, what a weekend it was!! Started @ 7:30 Saturday morning, I went to pick up the Pinson family and we started on our way. Stopped by and got some breakfast before heading off to the pumpkin patch to meet the Gregory's. Here he is walking hand in hand with Autumn...

We had so much fun! Alexander and I slid and see sawed

Alexander loves to swingThought about milking a cow...Then started getting sick at the end...poor babydoll!

Then, his mommy was in a minor car accident and he got sick too (temp was 103.7^) and was seen in the ER room

Then we had a good time celebrating Aunt Barb's dad, Mr. Broslat's 96th birthday!

This past weekend was extremely good!! Got Alexander's swingset (FREE BTW) and spent time with Jimmy. He and Alexander played and played...he liked sliding and swinging very much...

Little Tykes

Well, last night Alexander and I went to pick up his and Abigail's new/used Little Tykes Swing and Slide

There was not enough daylight left for him to play so I sure hope he likes it when he gets the chance! But before we went inside, we had some photos and ate cookies...

And took some funny pictures...I asked for a kiss (which I got) but he also got a bite!!

So, we went inside and took a shower and he played with my $2 shoes I bought the other day...

Well, the weekend has come and gone again so very fast. As always, Alexander and I have fun doing just nothing sometimes. This weekend I spent some time with hubby (and I am looking the part of Memaw) and bought Alexander this early Christmas present...he was so tired from early rising and church play...today I am going to get him a swingset!! I will hopefull have photos tomorrow.

Alexander is truly the love of my life! We always have so much fun together and as much as I enjoy taking photos of our adventures, we hope you enjoy our blog about them!

Memaw took off Friday just to have time off. But she couldnt stay away from Alexander...Papa and Memaw came by to visit and we played with my trucks!!

Then came Saturday and Memaw and Alexander went to the pool with Auntie Tee Tee and Logan.

What fun we had! Alexander swam in the deep end with Memaw...

Played water horsies...

Ate cheetos and heard fun stories...

I am actually just too cute for water wings though...
I had so much fun...I was WORE OUT!!Then Memaw made us dinner and I ate and ate...mmmm good stuff!On to church on Sunday...I love to go to church!And our weekend was so all American...Memaw made a homemade apple pie...aint it pretty??Until then...love and kisses!!

He's 18 months old today

Can you believe it...my little bitty angel is 18 months old today! Seems like such a short time ago that he was born

And now I am buying him gifts for Christmas!!

When you say a prayer today, please pray for him that his life will turn out fabulous and that he will give it to Jesus. In addition, he gets is 18 month shots today, pray that all will go well. They usually get a little sick when this happens and he spends tonite, tomorrow night and Saturday nite with Memaw!

Grandparents Day Weekend

I had a very nice weekend, being Grandparents Day and all. Unfortunately, I did not have the pleasure of Alexander's company at church because his mommy did not have to work that day. But I did go by and see him later in the day...he was sleepy when this picture was taken...just woke up!

But Saturday, ( I am going backwards with the days! LOL) we spent part of the day together and I went to the creek and fished with Jimmy...well for a bit. Sara and Ellen had gone down to see their dad and they went fishing and I showed up (of course I was invited) and not long after, the girls had to leave and I finished up. I caught no fish but had some nibbles...here is Sara's bass and Ellen caught a carp but no photo so here she is with her dad

Back to Alexander (of course). When I got ready to take him home Friday, we went to see Papa and it was time to feed the horsies...and it was raining...FUN FUN. Check out the photos!

Alexander was sneaking up on the puddles and would run through and laugh so hard!

Time to feed the horsies with papa...

Then he was cold and wet so Papa had to get him a pair of Papa's socks and a pair of boots and a TEN GALLON HAT!!

I can do this myself...just watch and learn! I'm too sexy for these boots!

We ended the weekend with Papa and Alexander eating ceral at home while mommie cooked dinner!

A day in the life of...ME!

Well, yesterday was a FUN day! I missed church though because by the time I got to the house it was almost 7PM and no dinner cooked or baby ready...he was really tired too.

Anyway, we went to pick up Papa because his dad (Pop King) is going in to the hospital today for a biopsy on his lungs...please pray for him. So, we took our time at the house because Alexander and Papa had to spend some time with the horsies!!

I didnt have my camera with me (yes I panicked) but I did have my phone...precious.

Then on to the house where Alexander went through like a tornado ( I think it was the Mountain Dew he had on the trip). You would not want to see it this morning. I bought these blocks for him about 3 months ago and he didnt give a hoot...but he did last night!!

And lastly, here is a picture of Stretch (our oldest dog) trying to catch a nap in the little ones bed!

If you know me...a house is not a home...without a dog! LOL

Labor Day Weekend

Well, it's back to work but I did have an extra long holiday weekend. I took off on Friday to spend some time away from AmeriGas!!! I love my job but everyone needs a break...right.

So, I had Alexander all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday and here are a few pictures of our adventures.

We had the car serviced on Friday and while we awaited the FOREVER time frame...we went to McDonald's (this is before I learned of the boycott request!) and Alexander played in the tubes. Now, mind you the sign says 3 years old or older but who can discriminate this face...

Well, he braved the begining when he saw the other children pass him by. He worked his little way all the way to the top!!

He was okay because he had a pretty little girl by his side...but then everyone went about their way and he couldn't figure out how to get down...so many twists and turns...he began to tear up so...MeMaw left her dignity at the bottom and went up to get him...

WE had a really nice day...as you can see here...all tuckered out...too poohed to watch Pooh!!

Then Saturday came and went with a blurr and on to church Sunday...I think he is on to the camera by now...MeMaw what are you doing...AGAIN!

Then I didnt see him AT ALL on Labor Day...yes I am having withdrawals!! But I will see him this afternoon...he has a new pool!!! CLEARANCE my friends!!

Anyway, then spent most of the day Monday with hubby

Who really needs a haircut!! And his brothers came over for a visit...nice guys when you get to know a little about them.And thats about it...I have been really busy today so if this post is all over the place...I would not be suprised!

Fair Weekend

Literally...it was the Cheatham County Fair and the last night of. I havent been to the fair in YEARS! My baby son had his truck in the mud thing and we were there from 6:30 to 11:30PM people!!! My back STILL HURTS from those bleachers...but it was FUN and Justin was tickled that we came (he actually told me so!). Alexander LOVED seeing the trucks and was such a good boy!

Jimmy bought me a license plate for my little bitty car!

Ellen and Sara were there but no pics of Sara...: - ( We were going to take some when she came back but she never came back! But I did get these photos of Jimmy and the girls before we went.

When I took Alexander home I met his new puppy...they are going to call her Dixie. So, Alexander will have a pony AND a puppy named Dixie!

And dont let me forget that I went to Logan's 2nd birthday party with BLUE!! Alexander was with his mommy and did not get to go...but someday he will see these photos and laugh at Memaw!

I sure do miss my Kelly and Doug on weekends like these...

Whirl wind

Today my mind is in a whirl wind. So many thoughts and emotions I dont really know what to do. But first let me tell you about yesterday. I went to Jail!!! Yes I did...for MDA (you know Jerry's kids) and little did I know until then, they also support folks with ALS. My BFF Denise lost her dad 9 days after I lost my dad to this terrible disease. Anyway, my bail was $1000 and I could only accomplish $400! Guess all my contacts are broke!!

The on to the evening. My hubby came over because he needed to help his brother Tim this morning with getting packed up to go back to Texas. I guess I am melancoly because I dont know what the future holds at this point and women dont do well with uncertainty. At least I dont.

But I am certain of this one thing, God is in control of my life and kasara-sara, whatever will be will be. I MUST TRUST HIM!

Good morning,

I consider myself to be extremely blessed with so much in the big scheme of things. I have a wonderful family, a good job, a great church, a nice place to call home and most importantly God!!

Alexander and I went to the Madison High Rise Service last night with my siter Melissa. (she is a saint by the way, I LOVE HER!) Anyway, I think we all need to remember how blessed we are that we can accomplish what we do everyday when there is a world full of people who are so less fortunate. I pray that God open my eyes to the little things in life that I take for granted but that are so very important!

Like watching a baby who has the whole world before him with simple popcorn and Pooh to make him happy! I can watch his every move and be content!

The Weekend

I can say that this was a great weekend! Of course, any time withAlexander is great but we made some special memories as you can see.

Alexander helped his Papa feed all the horses...he loves them so much...he'll say horsie in his little learning voice...priceless.

Then on to church Sunday...he loves church too! He just sings and claps and raises his little hands to Jesus...he just may be a preacher someday!!! I love this little man so much!!

Good morning,

This is really cool...Wendy is already buying baby girl clothes!! She is SO excited and I am very happy for her. Check out the outfits she bought yesterday. AS we all know, the retail industry makes too many cute clothes for girls...its a conspiracy.

Then on to Alexander! His daddy came home after working in KY for four days and they were bonding and watching Pooh!! Oh Pooh he says...and it is so cute!!

What a beautiful morning it is!!!

Alexander and I went to church last night and came home to watch Winnie The Pooh...AGAIN! He LOVES Pooh and gets lost in the adventures! It is so wonderful watching him in the land of make believe and I am so glad that he likes the classics and not the cartoons out today.
